The serious hiker will find miles of backcountry
trails to
the peaks and lakes of the nearby Crazy
Mountains.
Mountain bikers and climbers will
also find
challenging terrain on public lands in the
Crazy's.
Another option is to head west to
national
forest lands in the Bridger Mountains,
about a 45 minute
drive.
Fishing can be had in alpine lakes or in the
nearby Shields and Yellowstone Rivers. Big game
and bird hunting can be had in national forest
lands or block management areas. Yellowstone
Park is less
than two hours. Shopping, restaurants
and galleries can be found in Wilsall,
Clyde Park,
Livingston, Bozeman, and Big Timber.
The area holds
great opportunity for the big game
and bird
hunter. The national forest lands have
good
populations of deer and elk, and many
private
landowners allow “block management”
access for
big game and birds.
